FREGIO
for Visionnaire
A fragment of memory, a trace from an undefined time. The Fregio sculptures emerge from a dialogue between the purity of form and the force of matter. Smooth, sharply defined surfaces establish a monolithic presence, interrupted by raw fractures, tears that expose the tension and silent history within the material. These suspended forms recall an architecture eroded by time, a contemporary ruin.
Cast in aluminum using the lost-wax process and defined by the interplay of contrasting forms and planes, Fregio explores the relationship between the artificial and the natural, between the deliberate gesture of the human hand and the unpredictability of matter. It stands as an ode to the tension between permanence and dissolution, where every mark bears witness to an unceasing evolution.
